Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe says that he agrees with the request made by His Eminence Malcom Cardinal Ranjith to appoint an independent commission to look into Easter Sunday suicide attacks. The Premier made these remarks at a function held in Galle today. Addressing the gathering he further said the President has already appointed a committee to look into this attack while the parliament has appointed a parliament select committee for this purpose. However, the premier emphasized the importance of appointing a presidential commission to reveal information regarding these incidents. The commission can make use of the reports of the committee appointed by the President and the parliament select committee’s findings.
