Pacific and Australian schoolchildren today kicked-off a day of global protests, to call for action against global warming.

From Sydney and Seoul to Sao Paulo, students will be boycotting classrooms to participate in this highly symbolic “Climate School Strike”, which would be one of the most massive calls for mobilization ever organized.

There are more than 5,000 events all over the world, culminating in a monster event in New York, where 1.1 million students from 1,800 public schools are expected to be allowed to participate.
