Austrians are voting in a snap general election after a scandal caused the previous coalition government to fall. Opinion polls suggest the conservative People’s Party led by former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz is on track to win the most votes. But it will again need to form a coalition. Social Democrats, Greens, liberals and the far-right Freedom Party – Mr. Kurz’s initial partners – are also standing. Coalition talks are widely expected to be difficult, and may last for weeks.
