Foreign election monitors have begun arriving in the Island to monitor the Presidential Election. It is reported, election monitoring officers representing the European Union are due to report to the Elections Commission, tomorrow, whilst over 100 monitoring personnel representing various countries are expected to contribute to the election monitoring process. These include, countries of the Commonwealth and the SAARC, as well. Sixty monitoring officers from the EU are set to arrive, whilst two monitoring officials from the Commonwealth have already arrived in the Island. They will monitor the pre and post Presidential Election period. Local election monitoring missions will also join in the task.
