British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson will attempt to persuade MPs to back his Brexit deal later today, ahead of what is expected to be a knife-edge vote in the House of Commons, tomorrow (19/10/2019).

However, Mr Johnson has insisted, he is “very confident” that MPs will back his deal.

Tomorrow’s showdown in the House of Commons is the Prime Minister’s last chance to get the Parliament to approve a deal, before the Brexit deadline of 31st October.

If MPs reject his plans, the Prime Minister – as per recent legislation passed in Parliament – is mandated to request of the EU for an extension until 31st January 2020; however, this is something Boris Johnson has repeatedly insisted he would not do.
