Today (01/11/2019) is the second day of Postal Voting, for the forthcoming Presidential Election.

The Elections Commission says, Postal Voting took place peacefully throughout yesterday, and a peaceful environment prevails today as well.

Director of Information and Planning at the Elections Commission: Channa Silva says, those who are unable to cast their postal votes, can alternatively vote on the 7th of this month.
In addition, Postal Voting for officers attached to District Secretariats, Election Offices and Police Stations is scheduled to take place on the 4th and 5th of this month.

Meanwhile, Post Master General: Ranjith Ariyaratne says, the distribution of Polling Cards is underway successfully.
