The Elections Commission says the vote can be cast without the polling card if the voter’s name is in the voter’s list.

The election commission says that the vote can be cast without the polling card if the name is included in the Voter’s list. Chairman of the commission Mahinda Deshappriya said that a recognized or valid identity card should be produced to cast the vote. He said that they will be able to issues the 1st official election result around 2.30 am on 17th Sunday.
