The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce believes that the economy of the country can be directed to a success full path with the new vision of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. Secretary General of the Chamber Bandula Dissanayaka told SLBC that economic sectors show positive signs as results of the country becoming stabilized following the election of the president. The contribution to the economy from small and medium scale businesses and industries is between 60 and 65 percent. He said that they are confident that the new government will provide solutions to the problems of those two sectors. He pointed out that the stability of security of the country will help the industries to develop. Secretary General Dissanayaka said that the situation in the country will encourage local and foreign businessmen to launch new enterprises and it will create new job opportunities.
