North Korea’s state-run media reported today that the country had successfully tested a “super-large multiple launch rocket system”, with the oversight of Leader Kim Jong Un.

The media is believed to be referring to the two ballistic missiles launched by North Korea from an eastern area towards the Sea of Japan, yesterday.

The launches are the first since Seoul decided to extend the ‘General Security of Military Information Agreement’ – ‘GSOMIA’ – which is a bilateral intelligence-sharing pact with Tokyo.
