The Treasury agrees to allocate 1,000 million rupees to purchase essential pharmaceutical drugs for the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital

The Ministry of Health states, the Treasury has agreed to a sum of 1,000 million rupees for the purchase of 24 types of pharmaceuticals that are required for the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.

This allocation was made possible, as a result of a discussion held between Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Secretary to the Ministry of Health: P.M.S. Charles and the Secretary to the Treasury.

Thereby, under the procedure for the urgent procurement of essential pharmaceuticals, the necessary drugs will be purchased through the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and delivered to the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital, this week.
