Aircraft crash at Haputhale
A Y-12 aircraft of the Sri Lanka Air Force has crashed in the Haputhale area this morning, resulting in 4 deaths.
Air Force Media Spokesperson: Group Captain Gihan Senevirathne states, the aircraft – which had taken-off from Weerawila with four persons on board – had collided with a mountain in the area, and subsequently gone up in flames.
Police Media Spokesperson: SP Jaliya Senarathne states, steps were taken to douse the flames.
