The Ministry of transport requests general public to report irritating music at public transport

The Ministry of Passenger transport Management informs progress in the efforts to introduce classical music instead of irritating songs played in public transport vehicles.

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera to day made an inspection visit to Kaduwela Bus station to obtain a firsthand report on this effort. He requested the general public to report through a hot line established to reserve complains on loud and irritating music had public transport buses. The passengers can call 1955 to make a complain.

The deadline for receiving CDs containing classical songs ended yesterday, and bus operators can downloads the songs from the official web site of the National Transport Commission
