Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi says that no student at the special place at Diyathalawa Military Camp after coming down from Wuhan, has shown any symptoms of any decease. She said that they are in sound health and staying happily. Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said this during a news briefing at the Ministry of Health last morning. She said that the students are being subjected to tests constantly. Scanners and other equipment have been fixed at Palali Airport to check the body temperature of the passengers. A form is given to all passengers who are arriving in the country and their information is computerized. She said that they are subjected to checks by health officials and public health inspectors at the places they visit. An App has also been introduced for the purpose. The Health Minister said that the national action committee appointed by the Ministry of Health on the instructions of the President took steps to prevent the transmission of the virus in the country. She said that the risk to the country could be prevented due to the actions taken by everyone with commitment. Chief Epidemiologist of the Health Ministry Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said that action is being taken on the virus based on the experience treating previous epidemics.
