COPE chairman informs about the big volume of forensic audit reports pertaining central bank bond issue.

The Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises says that reports issued by central bank on disputed bond issuances consist five forensic audit reports and annexures of ten thousand pages.
Mr. Sunil Handunnethti said that when considering the big volume, parliamentarians might find it difficult to get a comprehensive understanding, before parliament debates the documents. The debate is scheduled to be held on the next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The forensic audits were carried out on the suggestions made by the Presidential Commission Investigating Bond Issue and the COPE. As such, there was a possibility to summarize the documents after discussions with in the COPE itself. But, Mr. Sunil Handunnethti said that the committee was not convened because of the prorogation of the parliament. He promised to take up forensic audit reports for discussion of the committee.
