Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that the government is ready to pass the benefits to the consumers if the fuel prices in the world market continues to decline.   Though there is a slight decrease in the crude oil prices in the world  market due to spread of COVID 19 virus  in China, it is  not sufficient factor to reduce oil prices.  When the oil prices in the world market had gone up two weeks before, the prices of diesel and petrol had to be increased by 12 rupees a litre but the government did not acts so. The minister made these observations during a visit to Lakdiva engineering company in Ekala yesterday
