Heads of state banks say that large number entrepreneurs are now receiving concessionary loans under the enterprise Sri Lanka development programme. Participating in a programme held at this SLBC yesterday under the title of ‘verification’ Chairman of the Regional Development Bank Kasthuri Anuradhanayake said that over 6,000 new entrepreneurs started their businesses with the help of the Regional Development Bank. General Manager of the Bank of Ceylon Senarath Bandara said 100,000 entrepreneurs will be created under this programme. If the entrepreneurs are keen on their targets with proper work plan he BOC is ready to grant loan facilities. Deputy Secretary of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka S.R. Deshappriya said that the government has granted these concessions to the entrepreneurs in order to increase exports.
