The Kelaniya university authorities have imposed a two year class suspension on 25 students who have been identified having been involved in removal of CCTV cameras installed in the campus. The camera will be reinstalled and investigations are in progress. The Dalugama campus of the Kelaniya university has been declared out of bound for all students with effect from 8.00 am tomorrow as the academic year of 2017 and 2018 will come to end tomorrow. Students with hostel facilities have been instructed to leave their hostels before 8,00 am tomorrow. Director of the communication and media division of the university senior lecturer Wijeyananda Rupasinghe said that examinations and lectures related to weekend postgraduates, diploma and certificate courses will not be conducted until further notice.
