Chief Executive of SATHOSA Dushmantha Thotawatte says a special programme has been implemented to distribute essential food items during the curfew. The transportation of these goods is based on requests made via on line by the customers. A system has also been introduced to deliver a bag of goods as requested by a telephone call. Speaking to the SLBC Mr.Thotawatte said there is a high demand for this service by the customers. Moreover, he stated that the SATHOSA has made arrangements to distribute relief packs worth, rupees 500, 1000 and 2000 once the curfew is lifted. At present the system of distribution food packs has been implemented in Kalutara district. Furthermore’ this system will begin in Colombo and Gampaha districts. Plans have been made to further strengthen the program through Divisional Secretaries and Grama Niladhari officers.

This program has named as “Wait for Us, Stay at Home”.
