Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised 10,000 more houses for Sri Lanka’s estate people. According to him, 12 billion Indian rupees will be allocated for the purpose. The Indian premier made the announcement via video technology at the handing over of an Indian-assisted housing project at Pudalu-Oya in Nuwara Eliya today. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Indian High Commissioner Taranjit Singh Sandhu participated in the ceremony.
