The water level of the Walawe river has risen. Ten houses are under water

Water level of the Walawe river is increasing due to heavy rain experienced in the catchment areas last night. Our provincial correspondent says that several villages in the Ambalantota area have already gone under water. Ten houses in Vaduruppa area have completely submerged . The met department says heavy rains will experience in the upper catchment areas this evening as well.
