The number of recoveries from the Covid-19 in Sri Lanka tally to 569

The Total count of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Sri Lanka passed 1,000 today. Twenty-eight more persons tested positive for coronavirus as the cases tally soared to 1,027. The Department of Government Information says all these patients have been identified as navy men who are undergoing quarantine at the facility in Oluvil. In the meantime, 10 coronavirus patients were discharged from Infectious Disease Hospital, Iranawila Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital earlier yesterday. They have brought the recoveries tally to 569. The Epidemiology Unit says, 449 active cases are currently under medical care at hospitals.

Coronavirus global cases have passed 4.98 million and global deaths have passed 324,554.
