Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa assured all necessary steps will be taken to provide a reasonable price in the local and world market for small crops including pepper. The government will discuss this matter with India as well. The premier made these remarks while addressing a rally at badulla – uva paranagama area yesterday.
The premier further said effective measures will be taken to resume the export activities. The export sector was affected due to corona virus pandemic situation. The prime minister said the previous government only pursued political revenge. The previous government did not do anything good for the people, the premier added.
