Attorney at Law Manohara De Silva said that the public will is not being represented by the present Sri Lankan constitution. He said that it is happened due to the reason that the Sri Lankan constitution has made by obtaining several portions from the constitutions from other countries. He said that answers for the real problems of the people are not given by the constitution. He was speaking at the seminar organized by the Ambassadors’ Forum held in Colombo yesterday. Mr. De Silva noted that there are no clauses in the present constitution to build the national economy. He stressed that the government should focus their attention to prepare a new constitution which addresses the real needs of the people in this country.
