The Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that the Findings of the committee appointed by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to study the proposed 20th Amendment will be tabled at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers today. The committee has submitted recommendations to correct lapses in the proposed amendment. He stated that the government aim is to bring a constitution that fulfills needs of each and every citizen of the country.
- Attorney at Law Manohara De Silva stressed that the government should focus their attention to prepare a new constitution which addresses the real needs of the people in this country.
- The government’s programme to construct 100,000 kilometres of rural roads will be completed by 2024.
