The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic resources has cautioned fisher folk to remain vigilant of possible inclement weather. The Department noted that strong winds may be experienced due to fluctuations in pressure in the Central, North East and Eastern areas within the Bay of Bengal. The Fisheries Department has advised fishing communities and those living in the vicinity of coastal areas to move their vessels to a safer location in this regard. The Department of Meteorology has warned that wind speeds in the area may increase up to 60 to 70 kilo meters per hour as well.
