WHO warns of more stillbirths due to the pandemic, whilst the number of infected COVID cases crosses 35.53 million world-wide

According to the World Health Organisation data, the number of infected cases has crossed 35.53 million worldwide. WHO’s Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for solidarity and political commitment by all leaders to ensure equal distribution of vaccines when they become available. Meanwhile, the UN health agency and other organizations are warning of an additional 200,000 stillbirths in the next year, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt health services.
