Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control stated that arrangements are being made to provide the people of Sri Lanka with the Oxford- Astra Seneca vaccine to control the COVID-19 coronavirus infection from the middle of next month. The State Minister disclosed this at a discussion held at the Gampaha District Secretariat yesterday regarding the measures taken to control the coronavirus disease. The Minister said that the vaccine is planned to be given at 4000 locations in the island and steps have been taken to identify the target groups to receive the vaccine. State Minister Fernandopulle also requested the assistance of provincial and district directors of health, medical officers, public health inspectors and other doctors to make the massive vaccination program a success.
