Minister Mahindananda Aluthgama says that the government cannot do anything regarding the imprisonment of Ranjan Ramanayake who made statements against judges . He said it is sad to note that the opposition is appearing on behalf of him. He requested the opposition to prevent from propagating false information in society. More than 60 gazette notifications has been issued to provide Covid relief and tax concessions. He also said that the president Gotabaya Rajapakse has been mandated to eradicate bribes and corruptions.
JVP accuses the government that there are no rice in the market for gazette prices.
JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said in parliament that there is no rice in the market for the government gazette price. So far five gazette notification have been issued in this regard. According to the gazette issued on the 4th of November a kilo of Saba was at 94 rupees, one kilo of Nadu for 92 rupees and a kilo of Sudu Kekulu was at 89 rupees. He questioned in parliament to look into the available of rice for these prices in market.
