Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has expressed hope that the government will make public the report by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry that probed the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks and implement the recommendations cited in the report. The Cardinal said it is only then that the country’s Catholics will be served justice. In a mass to commemorate the 73 Independence Day, Cardinal Ranjith said Sri Lanka emerged from a 30-year long conflict, and had begun rebuilding and developing the country, adding that persons responsible for attempting to create another conflict must be revealed.
