The State Wesak Festival will be held in the North and East centering the Nagadeepa Raja Maha Viharaya

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse has issued  directives to celebrate the  national Wesak Festival  cenetred on the Nagadeepa Rajamaha Vihara in Jaffna.  A discussion in this regard was held at the Temple trees yesterday with the ministry secretary  professor Kapila Gunawardena. . This year’s national wesak festival will be organised together with other religions.  65 temples and 35 Dhamma Schools in the North and East are to be participated with the programme.

The Hindu, Christian and Muslim Affairs  Departments under the ministry of Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs will work together with the programme.
