Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission Dr. Deepika Udagama says a considerable investment with regard to the youths is required to strengthen democracy. She also calls for a dialogue with the youths on the values of democracy. With that intention in mind, the Human Rights Commission is holding a five day youth camp in Thulhiriya from September 25th. That event will coincide with the 70th anniversary of the UN declaration on human rights. Speaking to the SLBC, Dr. Udagama said the youth camp will provide practical experiences to the participants who will come from all parts of the island.
