Media minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that stern attention should be paid on climatic change when implementing sustainable development goals. The government has already been implemented a programme to protect the environment and to hand over it to the future generation with safety. He made these remarks participating in a national dialogue on climatic activities. The necessary policies to protect the environment and for the sustainable development have been included at the President’s Saubagye Dekma programme. He also said that the climatic changes will affect directly and indirectly to the country’s economy. Therefore, the government has paid attention in this regard. A new programme will also be implemented to educate the people on protecting the environment.
