Doctor of the Health Promotion Bureau Prasad Weerasinghe points out that public should celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year adhering
to the health and safety guidelines introduced by the authorities in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The New Year celebrations should be limited to the family members as well. He urged the public to follow the health safety when vising at the shops to purchase goods. The owners of the trade stalls and the staff should work with understanding about the pandemic. He made these remarks participating in the Subarathi programme of the SLBC today.
