The Pakistan government has expressed willingness to make major investments in Sri Lanka’s construction sector. Pakistan high commissioner in Sri Lanka Major General Mahamud Saad Kathak mentioned this during a discussion yesterday on future development of Sri Lanka’s construction industry. The discussion took place between representatives of Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The President and the Prime Minister have instructed the ministry of urban development and housing to complete the projects that have been suspended constructions half way in the Colombo city. Secretary to the Ministry Sirinimal Perera has been appointed as the special competent authority by the president to expedite such construction projects. Accordingly the discussion has been organized. It was decided to recommence constructions of destiny housing complex at slave island in Colombo.
