Nearly 200,000 A/Level candidates qualify to apply for universities

The results of the GCE A/Level examination 2020 have been released. Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha said that results could be obtained by logging in to www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk web sites. 301,771 candidates sat for the examination under old and new syllabuses. 194,297 have qualified to enter universities. Issuing of results of 86 candidates has been suspended. Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha said that principals, provincial directors of education and zonal directors of education have been given the facility to download or to view the results by using the user name given to them earlier. School and private candidates can download or view their results by inserting their index number or national identity card number. The result sheets will be sent to schools in a future date. The commissioner said issuing of certificates of the examination will be informed in due course. He said facilities will be provided to apply on line for re-corrections.
