A Grace period to settle water bills

The Minister of water Supply Vasudeva Nanayakara says the water released from the Ambathale purification plant is safe for the consumption to the public. Earlier, it was reported that due to the inclement weather several houses and roads were inundated in the Heiyanthuduwa area where the water had mixed with refuse oil. The Minister further stated that cleaning operations are already underway to resolve the situation.
Meanwhile, the Minister said that a grace period of a month will be allocated for consumers who unable to pay their bills due to travel restrictions.
