State Minister Susil Premajayantha says that covid vaccines have been given to 27 percent of the teachers. Students will be given the vaccines according to the advice of health authorities. Schools will be opened in stages after the second dose of the vaccines was given to academic and non-academic staff. Students in G.C.E Advance Level classes and students sitting for grade 05 scholarship examinations will be given priority. State Minister Susil Premajayantha said that the ministry expects to cover syllabus by October. Practical training for advance level subjects is expected to be completed after re-opening schools. Practical tests will be conducted after written tests for aesthetic subjects. Practical activites that have not been covered for science subject, will be covered using video technology. Model question papers of all subjects will be sent over electronic technology to all schools. State Minister Susil Premajayantha said in parliament today that students who were siting for the G.C.E Advance Level exam for the 2nd and 3rd times have completed their syllabus. Therefore it is not a problem for them to sit the examination.
