The government director general of the information Sulakshana Gunawardena says that the setting up of reparations office by the government is a fulfillment of a request made by the civil society. It is a significant approach for the consequences of reconciliation.

Participating in the Subarathi programme of the SLBC this morning, Mr. Gunawardedna pointed out that the international community has commended the efforts being made by the government to lasting peace in the country.

He pointed out that the people should continue support the government which has taken meaningful measures to build national reconciliation.
