The President points out the need to allocate Sunday for religious education

President Maithripala Sirisena has pointed out the need to set apart Sunday Dhamma education. He said that it has become essential for the future of the children.

Addressing the All Island Professional Lecturers 8 Annual General Meeting yesterday , the President pointed out that everyone should work unitedly towards this aim.

The President emphasized that its practical for this should be realized by everyone. The President said that, it is essential to encourage children to follow the religion for a society with sound moral values.

Expressing his views, Minister Wijayadasa Rajapakse said that, a new Act will be introduced to regulate private universities. He said that , the previous government has not introduced a monitoring methodology, when launching private universities. He pointed out the need to update study courses on humanities.
