MP Keheliya Rambukwella has rejected reports that say the parliament would be reconvened on Wednesday. The President has prorogued the parliament until the 16th of this month. During a discussion at the Prime Minister’s office yesterday he said that if the parliament is to be reconvened, it should be announced a through a gazette notification. He pointed out that a gazette notification in that regard has not been issued. The United People’s Freedom alliance and all parties and groups linked to it have unanimously decided to appoint MP Dinesh Gunawardena as the leader of the House.
