The Government Medical Officers’ Association states, a Presidential Commissioner of Inquiry needs to be appointed to probe into corrupt transactions that they allege took place in the Health Service, within the past three and half years.

Secretary to the GMOA: Dr. Haritha Aluthge, and Assistant Secretaries: Dr. Naveen De Soysa and Dr. Nalinda Herath, speaking at a media briefing, alleged that the Ministry of Health functioned in a corrupt manner during the past few years.
