Granting employment to graduates and Gamperaliya and Grama Shakthi programmes will continue

Co-cabinet spokesman State Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that it is regretted that MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara is mailing letters to public servants using the Ministerial stamp. The President has the power to acquire any Ministry and to appoint Secretaries to the Ministries.

Addressing the cabinet press briefing this morning Mr. Rambukwella also said that the public servants have not responded to Mr. Ranjith Madduma Bandara’s letter as they are intelligent. The President has convened the Parliament session on 14th of this month. Minister Rambukwella requested all parties to refrain from disturbing it.

Co-cabinet spokesman Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe requested the United National Party to show their majority in Parliament. The Deputy Secretary General of the Parliament has stated that they follow the gazette notification. If the employees of the supreme Parliament act in such a way the public servant should follow the suit.

The former Minister has given a wrong message to the public servants. The Minister assures that the programmes such as providing employments to graduates, Gamperaliya and Grama Shakthi will continue. The graduates will be given employment without considering party affiliations.
