New Co-Cabinet Spokesperson: Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe says, the appointment of cabinet ministers of the new government is to be completed before next Wednesday.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo today to inform cabinet decisions the Minister said, the Secretary General of Parliament is due to arrange the seating in Parliament, according to the new appointments.

Joining in the media briefing, State Minister: Keheliya Rambukwella said, Parliament will convene, in accordance with Standing Orders, next Wednesday.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the SLFP Headquarters today, Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said, the decision President Maithripala Sirisena took to appoint Mahinda Rajapakse as ‘Prime Minister’ was a national requirement. He further stated, he is prepared to make any sacrifice, and face any challenge to uphold the decision of the President.

Joining in the media briefing, Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera said, Speaker Karu Jayasooriya is taking decisions beyond his powers at this juncture. Mr. Jayasekera states, the President functions according to the powers vested in him by the Constitution
