Parliamentarian Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena says that 31 tax concessions under various categories have been given to the general public after Mahinda Rajapaksa was appointed as the Prime Minister. At a press briefing held in the Prime Minister’s Office he said the government hopes to give further relief to the common masses. He added that the majority of the Parliament is with the UPFA. He also stressed the need to hold a general election without delay as a measure to save the country from existing anarchical situation.
