The interim order issued by the Supreme Court suspending the Gazette on dissolution of parliament has been extended indefinitely. The seven-Judge bench of the Supreme Court initially extended the interim order.

The bench was headed by the Chief Justice Nalin Perera. The case was heard from the 4th of this month until yesterday. However, the Supreme Court will give the verdict soon.
