A ‘National Drug Prevention Week’ to be declared in the coming days, in the fight against drugs

Co-ordinator of the Presidential Task Force on Drug Prevention: Nalin Ramesh Amarasinghe emphasizes the need to take drug eradication programmes amongst the people, particularly by creating awareness amongst school children. Speaking to the Subharathee Discussion Programme aired over the SLBC this morning,

he said, when children keep company with adults, parents must be attentive on who and who the kids interact with. Joining in the discussion, Director of the Presidential Task Force on Drug Prevention: Dr. Samantha Kithalawaarachchi said, with the intention of creating awareness amongst children, a ‘national week’ will be declared in the coming days, to fight against drugs.
