The death toll of Indonesia’s ‘volcano tsunami’, likely to rise
Indonesia’s Disaster Management Agency reports, at least 168 people have been killed and 745 injured, after a tsunami hit the coast on Indonesia’s Sunda Strait, when the Anak Krakatoa Volcano erupted.
Indonesian officials are warning people to stay away from the coastline due to fears of further tsunamis, as this tsunami is different from a tsunami caused by an earthquake.
An eruption can be triggered by small tremors which then become stronger.
