Para athlete Amara Indumathi Karunathilake gets a house from the government.

The government has donated the house to L.P.G. Amara Indumathi Karunathilake of Moneragala who has scored many victories both locally and internationally in Para athletics. The handing over of the house valuing about three million rupees at Moratuwa, Angulana, Sayurupura housing complex took place this morning under the patronage of Minister Sajith Premadasa at his Ministry. The Minister said that the government would encourage the sports men and women who bring honor to the country by wining local and international competitions.

Expressing her views L.P.G. Amara Indumathi Karunathilake said that her sole aim is to bring an Olympic medal to Sri Lanka in 2020. She thanked the government and Minister Premadasa for providing her with the facilities to achieve that aim.
