Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe says the depreciation of rupee directly leads to increase the cost of living of the people. Therefore, the export section and the tourism industry should be developed to stabilize Sri Lanka’s Economy. At a ceremony held in Battaramulla yesterday the premier said, the government is committed to implement special programmes in future to increase the flow of foreign income into the country.
The premier declared open the new orchid garden setup at the Diyata Uyana. The premier further said that the tourism industry can be developed with innovative concepts. Participating at this occasion Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said the government should carryout its own public enterprises successfully facing the challenges to the private sector.
