New Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, called on Prime Minister

Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, in conformity with military traditions after he took office as the 23rd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, called on Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Temple Trees today. This turned out to be the Navy Commander’s first visit to the Prime Minister after he assumed duties of the new appointment.

At the outset, the Hon. Prime Minister extended his congratulations on Navy Commander’s new appointment and held a cordial discussion. To mark the significance of this occasion, Vice Admiral Silva presented a memento to the Premier.
